Cascade Clamp - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring 4 individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and various components. Through 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to forty employees and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is among the top international producers within the material handling business.
Production and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business possibilities. During the past 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a highly complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part on this progress. 1959 in Springfield, Gilbert a second manufacturing facility was built. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the international world of the material handling industry while the company established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.
In 1964, the business altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in the year 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Gilbert. Cascade merchandise are manufactured internationally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after buying 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in forks.
